Displaying Your Model Cars

The hobby of model cars has been around for several life times. You kept yours and it brings back great memories of your childhood but you have no idea where to display it. While it's an excellent hobby, what good is it if no one can see it?

Start with knick knack shelves! They're easy to hang on the walls, they look neat and orderly and you can get alot of cars on them. To make it look like you have more in your collection hang a mirror behind the shelves!

When the collections grows start building cubby holes for the shelves - you can elevate the cars turn them into interesting configurations and you're all set! You get more on the shelf and they look great.

You can start shopping garage sales for curios or cabinets. Nice glass door cabinets can be found at bargain prices. It's another way to "dress up" the collection while saving space in the room. It will also keep the dust off your collection. (you can always get the snazzy plastic cubes for your shelves)

Just remember as you build your collection you're going to have to allocate space for display. When you get to the "pick and choose" as to which cars go on display, keep a photo album of the cars in storage!

Happy Collecting!
